CityROCK is located at 21 N. Nevada Ave. in Colorado Springs, CO. The building originally housed the Ute Theatre, a landmark in Colorado Springs that closed in 1984. After its closure, it transitioned into an antique store, and finally into the climbing gym you see today. We decided to honor its movie theatre past by having the walls painted, by local artists, with images referencing at least seven classic movies including King Kong, Attack of the 50 Foot Woman, Jaws, and The Wizard of Oz.

CityROCK features 43' walls and facilities that include:
  • freestanding top-out boulder with 3,500 sq ft of bouldering surface area
  • 5 adjustable systems walls and an adjustable crack for training
  • ~15,000 sq ft of roped climbing
  • fancy foam in the bouldering area
  • 4–7 week turn-over rate by the setting crew
  • an overhanging arch, cracks, slabs, and dry tool routes
  • two slacklines and a high-line
  • CLIMBarium, a space specially designed for kids
  • snack and coffee bar, pub with food, good sound system, free Wi-Fi and a large relaxing area with a fireplace, tables, couches, board games, and a library of outdoor books
  • showers in both our men's and women's locker rooms
  • Yoga classes 5 days/week
  • outdoor guided trips with AMGA or PCGI certified guides, and instruction on both rock and ice
  • easy walking access to downtown Colorado Springs
