About CityROCK

CityROCK is located at 21 N. Nevada Ave. in Colorado Springs, CO. The building originally housed the Ute Theatre, a landmark in Colorado Springs which closed in 1984. After its closure, it transitioned into an antique store, and finally into the climbing gym you see today. We decided to honor its movie theatre past by having the walls painted, by local artists, with images of King Kong, the Swamp Monster, the 50ft. Woman, and a B-52 Airplane.

CityROCK features the tallest climbing walls in the state at 43'. We have a freestanding top-out boulder with 4,000 sq ft of bouldering surface area and another 13,000 sf of roped climbing. Our team of professional setters changes out the entire gym at least every 2 months.

The gym showcases an overhanging arch, cracks, slabs, dry tool routes, and other unique features, including two slacklines, a highline, and a kids' area for the little guys who may not be comfortable yet with heights. Some of the gym amenities include a coffee bar, good sound system and large relaxing area with tables and couches and both our men and women locker rooms are equipped with showers.

In addition to indoor climbing, we offer classes in several branches of yoga. CityROCK also features outdoor guided trips, with AMGA or PCIA certified guides, and instruction on both rock and ice. With all of these choices, you're sure to find that CityROCK is the ultimate Colorado Springs climbing gym.
